Specializing in Pediatrics for more than 22 years, Dr. Sonnekalb earned his Doctor
of Medicine degree at Albany Medical College, where he also completed his residency
training.
Dr. Sonnekalb serves as Director of Pediatric Education for the St. Clare's Hospital
Family Practice Residency Program, and as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is certified by the American
Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sonnekalb is a member of CapitalCare's Executive Committee, Board of Directors,
BOC Committee and Biological/OSHA Committee.Dr. Sonnekalb was voted one of the Best
Doctors in the Capital Region in 2007 and was featured in Capital Region Living
Magazine with the other physicians chosen. He is married with three children. He
