Dr. Catherine Smitas graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Science. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, and completed her residency in General Internal Medicine at Brown Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island.
Her previous experience includes serving as an attending physician at Rhode Island Hospital and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown School of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Aside from providing exceptional care to her patients, Dr. Smitas enjoys spending time with her children and being active within the community and outdoors. In particular she enjoys skiing, jogging, and volunteering at her children’s school as well as her church.
