Diabetes Education:
Comprehensive education is a cornerstone in the management of diabetes. It is an ongoing process, providing the knowledge and skills that are necessary to achieve the best outcomes of treatment for persons with diabetes. Our programs incorporate the needs, goals and life experiences of each individual and are based in principles of diabetes management that are scientifically proven.

Our CapitalCare Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) Program is Recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting all of its standards. Our Certified Diabetes Educators are experts in this field and provide services in one-on-one or group sessions for persons with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes and pre-diabetes.

Medical Nutrition Therapy:
While you know it is important to eat a healthy diet, it isn’t always easy to separate facts from fiction when it comes to nutrition and food choices.

A Registered Dietitian can provide you with the information you need and an individual meal plan that will help you start down the road to better health. CapitalCare provides Medical Nutrition Therapy for individuals of all ages. Our services include, but are not limited to, counseling and education for the following: General Nutrition and Wellness, Childhood, Adolescent and Adult Obesity and Weight Management, Cholesterol Management, Eating Disorders, Food Allergy and Intolerance, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), Digestive Disorders, Cardiovascular Health, and Metabolic Syndrome.
